While students enjoy a few days away during Fall Break, employees traditionally use
the time to catch up on work. This year, instead of checking through the to-do list,
employees will get the chance to participate in Frogtoberfest – a wellness-focused,
half-day, campus-wide event exclusively for staff and faculty during that time.
Frogtoberfest will provide opportunities to unwind, connect and recharge, without the hustle and bustle of a busy campus. Participants across campus can choose from a range of activities including fall planting and serene meditation, to dynamic beach volleyball and lively karaoke –there's something for everyone. Multiple campus partners including Campus Recreation, Athletics, Groundskeeping, Student Activities, Religious and Spiritual Life, Staff Assembly, the Provost’s Office and Human Resources are involved in the planning. And here's the best part: Frogtoberfest is an outcome of the 2023 Employee Engagement Survey feedback where employees expressed a desire for more opportunities for workplace connection and wellness.
One of the goals of Staff Assembly is to help staff members from across campus connect with each other—that’s why we plan events like Donuts during Fall Break, Taco Tuesday in the Spring, and the Chill out in the Summer. This Fall, Staff Assembly is thrilled to serve on the inaugural Frogtoberfest planning committee because it’s another opportunity for staff members to come together, to relax, and to have fun.
