Employee Engagement and Success is committed to taking the Lead On strengthening the workforce and academic profile by cultivating a positive, engaged and professional workplace with learning and development (L&D) opportunities and performance support. The Employee Engagement and Success Team is dedicated to providing scalable programming and expertise that optimizes the success of employee teams and individual contributors campus-wide.

Programming intentionally targets all employees in all roles and at all levels. By design, TCU’s standards of professional development offerings and expectations set a clear, positive and strategic direction whether required or optional.

The Employee Engagement team provides:

  • Services, programming and sessions related to individual, team and campus-wide organizational improvement, change management, inclusive leadership development
  • Key support for TCU leadership, departments, project teams and individual contributors by providing guidance through periods of change
  • Educational pathways and resources for employees to progress toward educational goals and career growth
  • Maximize team performance aligned with TCU mission, values and strategic plan
  • Needs assessment(s) to assist with organizational design initiatives associated with structures, processes, reporting relationships, skillset alignment and skill gap analysis
  • Coaching, resources and support for front-line managers and supervisors to align, keep pace, inspire and achieve best practices for organizational effectiveness to achieve high performing teams
  • Assistance with job design, programming to address succession and career path needs for employees and L&D needs to develop professionals in-place
  • Other special projects and priority focused areas as needed
Employee Success

Employee Success resides within the Employee Engagement and Success portfolio. The team partners with employees, supervisors and executives to provide guidance, leadership and direction related to University policies and employment regulations, compliance issues, conflict resolution and workplace matters. Employee Success also provides assistance as departments and employees assess individual and team performance, build collaborative relations and incorporate principles and strategies that encourage individual and departmental goals to align with the University’s strategic plan Vision in Action: Lead On.

Performance Management

TCU’s Staff Performance and Success Program is based on the understanding that regular, meaningful conversations between managers and individual contributors lead to better results and higher engagement for everyone. Managers and individual contributors are encouraged to work together in assessing achievements and providing feedback on workplace improvement throughout the year.

In support of TCU’s mission, the University values the following competencies as a guide to daily operations and will be rated during the annual staff evaluation process.

Performance Improvement
